Sky delivers some of the most diverse content and services on the planet through our platform. Sky Customers enjoy programmes such as The Simpsons, Ross Kemp on Gangs, The Colour of Magic, Prison Break, Lost and 24 all shows that feature diverse groups.
We value the same diversity within our business. We are committed to drawing on the talents and creativity of all sections of the community. For us, this means finding and growing the best talent - irrespective of anyone's background.
People
We provide a culture of entrepreneurialism and opportunity for one and all. It is fundamental to the success of our business that we attract and retain the best talent and therefore we are committed to drawing on the talents and creativity of the whole community.
One example of Sky developing its talent is our internal search for new presenters, this year that resulted in Denise Nurse becoming a Sky Weather presenter.

Content
We believe passionately that our programmes should reflect modern Britain and the rich diversity of our communities. We know that on average over half of the UK’s households where English is not their first language watch a foreign language channel on Sky.
Our Customers have access to 50 international channels, representing 16 languages including Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and Mandarin.
The Sky platform delivers 17 TV channels focused on minority groups. These cover all genres from Entertainment with channels such as Raj TV (British Asian English language channel) and TG4 (Gaelic) to Lifestyle and Culture with the Africa Channel that was launched in September and News with channels such as Al-Jazeera and Russia Today.
We have 29 radio channels aimed at minorities, faith and special interest groups that include Radio Rainbow (Ghana/West African) and Radio Netherlands
For Sky’s own channels we demonstrate our commitment to diversity through Sky Arts support of Black History month in October 2007. This included UK premieres of Gill Scott Heron’s Black Wax and The Gospel According to Al Green
Sky Movies recently launched SBO World – a brand new, on-demand service, exclusive to Sky Anytime on PC. It has over 150 World Cinema titles, making it one of the largest on-demand World Cinema services in the world
SBO World has been designed to super-serve our world cinema audience, with many titles not available anywhere else in the UK - not even on DVD. We expect the number of exclusive titles to grow significantly over the coming months
The service will be split into four sections:
Bollywood – the best in recent and classic
Cinema Europa – quality titles from across Europe
Eastern Action – a fantastic collection of action movies from the Far East
World Festival Hits – some of the most celebrated World Cinema hits of all time. These are the films that have taken film festivals by storm
